Superb, linnen-based- and/or light-blue-coloured armband (ie. 'Armbinde') depicting an interwoven white-toned cross as was intended for usage by a: 'Sanitäter o. Feldscher des Reichsluftschutz-Bundes'
This is a very attractive example of the - actually fairly scarcely encountered! - so-called: RLB (or: 'Reichsluftschutzbund') 'Feldscher'- (ie. 'Sanitäter' or: medical-orderly-related-) armband (ie. 'Armbinde') depicting the typical (interwoven) white-coloured cross and showing an interwoven makers-mark-designation (that reads: '23') and that came in an overall very nice- (albeit minimally used and/or slightly worn-), condition. This band signified that the bearer was an official member of the RLB and acted as a so-called: 'Feldscher' or medical-ordely (these bands could also be worn with the civilian attire). The armband - which comes neatly stitched-together - measures approximately 38 x 10,1 cms. and comes in an overall very nice albeit (I deem) just moderately used- and/or worn condition: it is just a tiny bit stained and is somewhat wrinkled (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a neat - and actually quite unusually encountered! - TR-era, RLB-related 'Sanitäter'-armband that will be very hard to be upgraded!
