Stunning - and rarely seen! - DRK (ie. 'Deutsches Rotes Kreuz') nurses'-badge entitled: 'Bereitschaftsschwester' being an oval-shaped- and/or maker-marked specimen showing an engraved bearers'-number: ('13') and towns'-name: 'Karlsruhe'
This is a truly very attractive - and actually very rarely encountered! - neatly enamelled- and totally untouched! - so-called: DRK (ie. 'Deutsches Rotes Kreuz' or: German Red Cross) nurses'-badge entitled: 'Bereitschaftsschwester' being a very desirable oval-shaped-version showing an engraved very (low!) bearers'-number (that reads: '13') and/or: towns'- (ie. hospital-name) that reads: 'Karlsruhe' and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately worn- but nevertheless totally undamaged-), condition. The piece was (I deem) only moderately worn and is totally void of any enamel-damage and just shows some regular wear and does show some minor scratches ie. wear-marks but was never denazified or alike (as can be seen on the pictures). The lapel-pin shows a clear makers'-designation (that reads: 'A.Stubbe - Berlin') and is engraved with a (unique, very low!) bearers'-number that reads: '13'. The badge most certainly belonged to a specialised nurse that worked in a hospital or clinic based in the town of Karlsruhe (something that is obvious due to the encountered engraving). The badge comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin and/or catch (-set-up). A similar badge is also figured in the 'Heering-Hüsken' lapel-pin-catalogue, were it is given the unique reference-number: 5613XG. The badge on offer here was never cleaned and shows an attractive (darker- ie. tarnished, golden-coloured-) patina on its back. This is the desirable oval-shaped version (having an approximate width of 4,7 cms.). Simply a very attractive and honest example of this desirable DRK 'Schwesternschaft'-lapel-pin that is with certainty not that often offered for sale: I deem that I have priced it according to its very nicely preserved and fully untouched condition!
