Superb - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres) pre- (early-) war-period (ie. 'M36- o. M40'-pattern) EM-type shoulderstraps as piped in the 'karmesin'-red-coloured branchcolour as intended for a: 'Soldat der Veterinär-Truppen o. Generalsstabes'
The truly attractive - and actually very scarcely seen! - WH (Heeres) 'M36- o. M40'-pattern, enlisted-mens' shoulderstraps have the (typical) darker-green-coloured- and/or: typical woolen-based 'upperdecks'. They show the desirable, bright-purple-red- (ie. 'karmesinroter'-) coloured branchcolour and were as such intended for usage by a: 'Soldat der Veterinär-Truppen o. Generalstab' (or: simple soldier who served within an army veterinarian- or staff-unit ie. regiment) and come in an overall very nice- (I deem only minimally used- ie. worn-), condition. The straps measure approximately 12,4 cms. in length and come naturally mounted on their original tongues: the straps show some moderate age, wear and/or staining but have, nevertheless, been nicely preserved (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair was with certainly always together and was worn as such as a pair. It should be noted that the bright-purple-red- (ie. 'karmesin-roter'-) coloured branchcolour ranks amongst the rarest branchcolours as used within the: 'Deutsche Wehrmacht'. In any case a very attractive and/or pre- (ie. early-) war-period- and/or: 'Heeres'-related enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap-pair that was intended for a: 'Soldat der Veterinär-Truppen o. Generalstab': only the first such rare pair I ever had on offer!
