This is an attractive - and I deem just moderately used! - medal-set: 'Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern' (or: War Merits' Cross second class with swords) comprising of a clearly maker- (ie. '6.'-) marked specimen as was produced by the maker- (ie. 'Hersteller') named: 'Fritz Zimmermann' as was based in the town of Stuttgart and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem issued- but hardly worn- nor used-), condition. The medal came together with its original, shortened and confectioned, bright-red-coloured and/or pre-folded (and approx. 10 cms. long-sized) ribbon (as can be seen on the pictures). The medal - which is a nicely preserved 'Buntmetall'-based specimen - was clearly issued but hardly used nor worn and has a quite 'shiny' (ie. minimally darkened- and/or golden-bronze-coloured) age-patina and was most certainly never cleaned nor polished and therefore are details and/or finish still very nice and/or crisp. It should be noted that the 'Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern'-award is quite commonly encountered: those numbered specimen are most certainly NOT! This example originates from a larger KVK-collection that was compiled over many years and that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive, maker-marked 'KvK II.Kl. mit Schwertern'-medal-set by an unusually found maker!
