This is a very attractive - and with certainty equally desirable! - (empty) example of a typical darker-blue-coloured - and actually seldomly seen! - neatly maker- (ie. 'L/54-' or: 'Schauerte u. Höhfeld'-marked) generic-styled- and/or two-pieced 'LDO'-etui as was intended to store a: black-class wound-badge (or: 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Schwarz') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit just minimally used-), condition. The box is naturally complete and nicely preserved: it shows a fully preserved, golden-yellow-coloured- (and partly velvet-based) interior (that shows a pre-printed black-coloured 'LDO'-marking in the top of the lid as can be seen on the pictures). Next to this is shows a blue-inked stamp on its bottom that reads: 'V.A.SCH. - L54' (denoting that it was specifcally intended to store a black-class wound-badge or: 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Schwarz') as was specifically produced by the maker- (ie. 'Hersteller') named: 'Schauerte u. Höhfeld' based in the town of Lüdenscheid). Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that this item was found still holding its (equally rarely seen!) paper-based 'LDO'-etiket (showing the text: 'Die Herstellung.....etc as can be noticed on the pictures. Simply a very nicely preserved - and surely desirable! - etui that just needs an 'L/54'-marked 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Schwarz' to complete!
