Superb, 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' (ie. Iron Cross 1st class) being an (I deem) mid-war-period produced, neatly maker- (ie. '20'-marked thus by the maker: 'C.F. Zimmermann'-produced) example that comes as issued and/or recently found
This is a truly very attractive - and I deem just mininimally used- and/or worn! - example of an: 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' (ie. Iron Cross 1st class) being an (I deem) mid-war-period produced neatly maker- (ie. '20'-marked thus by the maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'C.F. Zimmermann'-produced) example that comes as issued and/or recently found. The cross - which is a typical non-vaulted ie. non-converse-shaped as more often - has most certainly never been cleaned and retains a superb age-patina and/or great pronounced detail: its shows a fully undamaged, black-coloured- (ie. satin-like) core. This example - which is an evident specimen as was produced by the: 'C.F. Zimmermann'-company as based in the town of Pforzheim - comes naturally mounted onto its functional set-up. The back of the cross is just minimally stained (but was never cleaned nor polished though). The (straight-shaped) pin and typical catch (ie. set-up) are naturally unaltered and/or fully functional. The cross is - as stated above - a very attractive example that was produced by the maker 'C.F. Zimmermann' as based in the town of Pforzheim (something that can be deducted by the makers'-designation '20' which is stamped onto the back of the pin as more often). It was never part of a collection and was recently found at a private-household in Germany. I deem that this attactive - matching and fully untouched! - IC- first-class by the 'C.F. Zimmermann'-company is accordingly priced!
