Superb - truly worn and/or carefully tunic-removed! - 'BeVo'-type armshield entitled: 'Georgien' as was specifically intended for usage by a volunteer who served within the 'Deutsche Wehrmacht' ie. within the 'Georgisches Legion'
This particular armshield - showing a bright-red-, black- and/or: white-coloured shield-shaped format with above that the (German) text: 'Georgien' - is neatly woven in the so-called: 'BeVo'-weave technique and comes (very unusually!) in a truly worn- and/or carefully tunic-removed, condition. These - original - 'official' arm-shields (ie. 'Ärmelschilder') as executed in 'BeVo'-type weave (ie. German manufacture by the company of 'BeVo') can be easily considered 'scarce' even more so when they come in such a nicely and/or truly worn condition. The piece - that was carefully period-trimmed and/or folded - just shows some age ie. staining simply caused by having been used and/or tunic-removed (some of the period thread- and/or stitching-remains are still present and/or visible as can be noticed on the pictures). I deem that I have priced this attractive (and truly used- and/or worn!) example, accordingly!
