Neat - albeit single! - pre- (ie. early-war-) period- (ie. 'M36/M40'-pattern) (unusually!) 'cyphered' and rounded-styled WH (Heeres) NCO-type shoulderstrap as was intended for an: 'Unteroffizier u. This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single albeit nevertheless scarcely encountered! - pre- (ie. early-war-) period- (ie. 'M36/M40'-pattern) unusually (and against regulations!) 'cyphered' and rounded-styled, WH (Heeres) NCO-type shoulderstrap as piped in the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier u. Mitglied des Infanterie-Regiments 256' (or: junior-sergeant who served within the infantry-regiment, numbered: '256') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately ie. hardly used nor worn-), condition. The neat strap - which is of the pre- (ie. early-) war-period type - has the darker-green-coloured and/or woolen-based 'upperdeck' and does show as stated above the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour and/or woolen-type piping attached. The shoulderstrap shows the (typical) silver-toned NCO-braid attached and comes mounted onto its functional tongue (it measures approximately 11 cms. in length as more often). It does show a set of (smaller-sized, aluminium-based) '2', '5'- and/or '6'-cyphers (ie. numerals or: 'Ziffern') period-attached, something that was against the regulations but that was common practice (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap just shows some minimal age, wear and or minimal staining (as can be seen on the pictures). It should noted that these neatly 'cyphered', 'Infanterie'-related shoulderstraps can easily be graded 'scarce': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
