Superb - and/or fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards as piped in the bright-purple-red- (ie. 'karmesinroter'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for an: 'Oberst des OKW o. Generalsstab'

The attractive - and with certainty desirable and rarely found! - pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards are 'text-book'-examples of the typical Heeres'-type, 'Stab o. OKW'-related, officers-pattern shoulderboards and have the silverish-grey- (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-type) 'upperdecks': they are just moderately used- ie. worn and show some minimal age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show the desirable bright-purple-red- (ie. 'karmesinroter'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the typical 'smooth-type' wool as to be expected). The boards never had any tongues and were with certainty intended to be used as a pair of the 'sew-in'-type. The boards measure approximately 10,6 cms. in length each and were clearly worn- ie. carefully tunic-removed (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair shows a matching set of (neatly golden-toned, somewhat smaller-sized- and/or fully identical-) pips each period-attached, denoting that the high-ranked officer (ie. 'Oberst' or: full-colonel) who was issued this pair, served within a specific army staff-unit ie. the 'Oberkommando der Wehrmacht o. OKW'). All four devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (and/or quite shiny) age-patina. The silver-toned upperdecks are a bit corroded over the years and do show some white-toned corrosion (nothing too shocking though). The pair originated from a larger cloth- ie. shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. It should be mentioned that these neatly 'cyphered', higher-ranked 'Heeres'-type, 'OKW o. Generalsstab'-related shoulderboards are actually quite hard to come by and can easily be graded 'rare'. Simply a anattractive shoulderboard-pair that belonged to an: 'Oberst des OKW o. Generalsstab' and that is (I deem) accordingly priced!
