Five-pieced WWI-period- ie. WH (LW) ribbon-bar showing the ribbons for an: 'EK II.Kl.', a: 'KvK II.Kl. mit Schw.', a: 'FKK m. S.', a: WH (LW) 'DA 3.Kl.' and a Czech 'Anschluss'-medal (showing a 'PB-Spange')
The attractive - and clearly used- ie. worn and actually not that easily found! - five-pieced, WWI-period- ie. WH (Luftwaffe) ribbon-bar (ie. 'Band- o. Feldspange') showing respectively the ribbons for a WWI-period: 'Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse' (ie. Iron Cross 2nd Class), a: 'Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern' (or: War Merits' Cross second class with swords), a: 'Frontkämpferkreuz 1914-18' (ie.: 'Kriegsteilnehmerkreuz mit Schwertern'), a: 'WH-Dienstauszeichnung 3. Stufe' (as was intended for 12 years of loyal-service) and that has a neat and pronounced, golden-toned WH (Luftwaffe) eagle-device period-attached and a Czech 'Anschluss'-medal (that is having a detailed and somewhat smaller-sized miniature 'Prager Burg-Spange' firmly- and period-attached) and that comes in an overall nicely preserved, condition. The ribbons are of the regular- (ie. somewhat smaller) ribbon-bar-size and measure approximately 1,5 cms. each as is more often encountered. The 'Spange' comes in an overall nice condition and is of course fully functional: it is not 'backed' with a piece of wool but comes mounted onto a metal-based 'backing-plate' (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece retains its functional pin- ie. pin/catch-attachment. The - firmly-attached - 'Prager Burg'-device shows some minimal age ie. tarnish but has been nicely preserved. This particular example was - I deem - clearly worn ie. used: it does show some usage-marks and/or minimal aging ie. wear. Simply an attractive five-pieced 'Band-/Feldspange': great to decorate almost any WH- ie. Luftwaffe-tunic!
