Unusual, silverish-toned and typical 'Eisenblech'-based (I deem) 'Polizei'- (ie. police-) related day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') as was issued to commemorate the: 'Sporttag ABP - Frankfurt a. Main - 1940'
This is an attractive - and with certainty not that often seen! - silverish-toned- and/or 'Eisenblech'-based (I deem) so-called: 'Polizei'- (ie. police-) related day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') as was issued to commemorate a sports'-related event named the: 'Sporttag ABP - Frankfurt a. Main - 1940' and that comes in an overall very nicely preserved, condition. This shield-shaped day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') is executed in bright, silver-toned- (and I deem 'Eisenblech'-based) metal and shows shows a (detailed!) 'Polizei'- (ie. police-) eagle-device and text that reads: 'Sporttag ABP - Frankfurt a. Main - 1940'. The day-badge is totally void of a makers'-designation (as can be noticed on the pictures). The piece comes in an overall very nice (albeit I deem issued and/or minimally worn-), condition: it shows nice detail and was almost certainly never cleaned nor polished (some minimal staining is, however, present and visible as can be seen on the pictures). It comes naturally mounted onto its (functional) pin-ie. pin/catch set-up. Simply an attractive - and most certainly not that often encountered! - 'Polizei'-related 'tinnie' that is with certainty accordingly priced!
