Fully matching - and/or scarcely encountered! - pair of WH (Heeres), neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboards (showing a pair of regular-sized, bright-golden-toned 'L'-cyphers!) as was intended for an: 'Oberleutnant eines Panzer-Lehr-Abts.'
This is a truly very attractive - fully matching and/or with certainty scarcely encountered! - pair of WH (Heeres), neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboards (showing a pair of rarely observed regular-sized- and bright-cgolden-toned so-called: 'L'-cyphers attached!) as executed in the bright-pink- (ie. 'rosaroter'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for an: 'Oberleutnant eines Panzer-Lehr-Abteilungs' (or: lieutnant first-class and presumably instructor who served within tank-related, schooling-regiment ie. unit) and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem clearly issued- albeit hardly used- nor worn-), condition. The attractive boards - which are executed in the typical, 'smooth'-like- (and/or bright-pink-coloured) wool (aka 'moleskin'-wool) - measure approximately 11,2 cms. in length each and have silver-greyish-coloured- (ie. truly sub-dued-) 'upperdecks': I deem that as such they were intended for usage on a 'regular front-used' tunic. The boards never had any tongues attached and were clearly intended as a pair of the sew-in-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). Both boards show a pair of (scarcely seen, larger- ie. regular-sized, matching and neatly bright-golden-toned- and I deem 'Buntmetall'-based-) so-called: 'L'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') and a pair of (equally styled) pips period-attached: all four devices are minimally tarnished and/or stained but are still nice and/or pronounced (as can be seen on the pictures). It should be noted that these boards could be worn on a regular, field-grey tunic but could also be worn on the specific, black-coloured 'Panzer'-type 'wrap-around'-tunics. This particular pair originated from a larger cloth- ie. shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a very attractive - and truly scarcely seen! - officers'-type, 'cyphered' shoulderboard-pair that belonged to an: 'Oberleutnant eines Panzer-Lehr-Abteilungs'!
