Attractive - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards as piped in the darker-green-coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by a: 'Leutnant eines Jäger- o. Gebirgsjäger Regiments'
The attractive - and I deem simply never used nor worn! - pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards is piped in the typical darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured branchcolour: as such, the pair was intended for usage by a: 'Leutnant eines Jäger- o. Gebirgsjäger Regiments' (ie. lieutnant who served within a: 'Gebirgsjäger Regiment' ie. mountain-troops-related, regiment or unit). The attractive pair was probably issued but was simply never worn and comes in an overall very nicely preserved and/or fully untouched, condition. The shoulderboards - which are constructed from the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured, 'smooth-type' (ie. moleskin-like-) wool - come in an excellent condition overall and will be hard to be upgraded (the pair is fully matching as can be seen on the pictures). The somewhat 'sub-dued' appearance of the 'upperdecks' is fully present and/or preserved (something that is to be expected for a 'Heeres'-related shoulderboard-pair). The boards are just a tiny bit 'tarnished' by normal age and/or storage for decades and do show some age, wear and staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The neat boards - which measure approximately 11,7 cms. in length each - never had any pips (nor cyphers ie. numerals) attached denoting the junior-officers'-rank ie. function of: 'Leutnant'. The straps never had any tongues attached and were most certainly intended as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently found. Simply a very attractive - and simply never worn ie. 'virtually mint'! - shoulderboard-pair that was intended for a: 'Offizier u. Leutnant eines Jäger- o. Gebirgsjäger Regiments' and that will be very hard to be upgraded!
