Attractive, 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class infantry-assault-badge ie. This is an attractive - albeit most certainly issued- and/or just moderately worn - example of an: 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class infantry-assault-badge ie. IAB) being a non-maker-marked, so-called: 'solid-back- ie. copper-coated' example as was executed in darkened silver-toned, zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) and that was - I deem - produced by the: 'E. Ferd. Wiedmann'-company and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem surely issued- and/or just moderately used ie. worn-), condition. This example is a typical non-maker-marked award and shows the various characteristics as only seen on IABs as produced by the: 'E. Ferd. Wiedmann'-company as was based in the town of Frankfurt a. Main. The - truly very pronounded! - war-badge seems to be totally uncleaned and has a still a very attractive and somewhat tarnished age-patina: truly most of its period-applied (and somewhat 'frosted' ie. darkened!) silver finish has been nicely preserved (as can be seen on the pictures). The pin and/or catch (ie. set-up-) are of course fully functional and present (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece - which originates from a private-household where it was recently found - was never cleaned and has been nicely preserved. Simply an honest 'Feinzink'-based, silver-class IAB of the 'solid-back- ie. copper-coated'-variant-type that was produced the desirable maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'E. Ferd. Wiedmann' and that is accordingly priced!
