Resin-based- and/or silverish-grey-coloured, so-called: DAF- (ie. 'Deutsches Arbeitsfront'-related day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') bearing the text: 'Sportappell der Betriebe - 1938'
This is a very detailed, silverish-grey-coloured- and/or resin-based so-called: N.S.D.A.P.-related day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') bearing the text: 'Sportappell der Betriebe - 1938' as being issued to commemorate the participation in a specific D.A.F.-related-gathering and that comes in an overall very nice (albeit - I deem - issued ie. moderately worn-), condition. The very detailed and/or pronounced badge shows extraordinary detail and was almost certainly never cleaned nor polished: almost all of its period finish has been nicely preserved (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece shows the 'DAF'-symbol (ie. 'Zahnrad') and a sportsman surrounded by the text as mentioned above (as can be seen on the pictures). The badge shows a clear makers'-designation that reads: 'Richard Sieper u. Söhne - Lüdenscheid' and also bears the designation: 'RzM M9/25': it naturally comes mounted on their (functional-) pin- ie. catch set-up. Simply an attractive DAF-related 'tinnie' that is accordingly priced!
