Attractive, reddish-bronze-toned Bulgarian 'Royal Medal of Merit with Crown' (or: in Bulgarian- ie. Cyrilic language: 'Ordena Za Zasluga') being a neat and/or detailed example of (I deem) the 3rd Class
This neat - reddish-bronze-toned and very detailed! - Bulgarian (WWI-period) 'Royal Medal of Merit with Crown' (or: in Bulgarian- ie. Cyrilic language: 'Ordena Za Zasluga') as was awarded to enlisted-men and/or NCOs for exceptional loyal service. The example on offer here shows on its front the face of the 'Tsar Boris III' and is a specimen of (I deem) the third class of this award (something that can be deducted from the presence of the seperately-attached crown as can be seen on th the pictures). The piece came mounted onto its nicely confectioned- (ie. pre-folded-) piece of period (ie. Austrian-styled) ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') and was nicely preserved overall: it was never polished nor cleaned and is still a tiny bit dirty but very detailed. It retains a neat, somewhat shiny bronze-toned finish (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece was recently found at a private-household and was uncovered amongst some other belongings of an (unnamed) German (evt. Austrian?) NCO. Simply a very decorative Bulgarian military-merit medal ie. 'Ordena Za Zasluga' of the third class with crown that is I deem accordingly priced!
