Very unusual, golden-toned and/or aluminium-based equipment- ie. wash-tag (ie. 'Wasch-Marke') bearing the unique numeral: '149' and superimposed text: '1./Pi.Btl. 37 - Waffenrock'
This is a neat - and actually truly unusually found! - golden-toned and/or aluminium-based equipment- ie. wash-tag (ie. 'Wasch-Marke') bearing the unique numeral: '149' and superimposed text: '1./Pi.Btl. 37 - Waffenrock' and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used- ie. worn-), condition. These smaller, square-sized tags (only sized: 4 x 3,2 cms.) were quite popular amongst the troops for obvious reasons but did not see wide-spread usage: the tag on offer here was (obviously) intended for usage onto a: 'Waffenrock' (ie. dress-tunic) and the engineer-soldier (ie. 'Pionier') who used it kept it as a souvenir for decades: it was recently found as such at a German private-household. The piece shows some obvious age, wear and/or paint-loss simply caused by regular usage. I deem that this interesting little TR-equipment-item would merit further investigative work!
