Attractive, commemorative TR-period day-badge (ie. 'tinnie') as issued to commemorate a DAF- (ie. KDF-) related gathering depicting an illustration of a Napoleontic-era soldier and text: 'Kraft durch Freude - Gau Magdeburg-Anhalt'
This is an attractive - and with certainty not that often seen! - typical TR-period- and DAF- (ie. 'Deutsches Arbeitsfront'-) ie. KDF- (ie. 'Kraft durch Freude'-) related 'tinnie' (ie. 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') that was issued to commemorate a specific gathering (held in the 'Gau Magdeburg-Anhalt') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit surely issued ie. just minimally worn-), condition. The detailed and/or pronounced (shield-shaped) day-badge - which is executed in silver-toned- and - I deem- typical tin-based metal - shows the specific 'DAF/KDF-logo coupled with a Napoleontic-era soldier and text as mentioned-above: strangely, it is void of a years-designation. The piece was never cleaned nor polished and retains a very nice and untouched age-patina (and fully preserved 'Brennlacquered'-surface). The piece is totally void of a makers'-designation and comes naturally mounted onto its (functional) pin- ie. pin/catch set-up. It should be noted that all 'tinnies' that were intended to commemorate an event at regional- (ie. 'Gau'- ie. 'Bezirks'-) level (such as the piece on offer here) saw much more limited usage and can easily be graded 'fairly scarce'. Simply an attractive, DAF- (ie. KDF-) related 'tinnie' ie. 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen' that is I deem accordingly priced!
