Superb - fully matching and just moderately worn! - pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards as piped in the darker-purple-red- (ie. 'bordeaux-roter'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for a: 'Hauptmann der Nebelwerfer-Truppen'
The attractive - fully matching and just moderately worn and actually scarcely found! - pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type 'Werfer' (ie. 'Nebelwerfer') shoulderboards are typical, 'text-book'-examples of the Heeres'-type shoulderboards and have the silverish-grey- (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-type-) 'upperdecks': they were with certainty issued and/or worn and do show some moderate age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show the desirable darker-purple-red- (ie. 'bordeaux-roter'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the 'smooth-type' wool as to be expected). The boards came mounted onto their smaller-sized tongues attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards measure approximately 11 cms. in length each and show four (fully matching, larger-sized and golden-toned) pips period-attached denoting the officers'-rank of: 'Hauptmann' (ie. captain). All four devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine alabeit minimally tarnished age-patina (as can be seen on the pictures). Taking into account, the fact that this pair has the somewhat 'sub-dued'-type 'upperdecks' I deem that it was a pair that was intended to be used on a regular 'front-used'-tunic: the pair was most certainly issued and/or moderately worn and/or used. It should also be mentioned that these officers'-pattern, 'Nebelwerfer'- (ie. army smoke-troops-) related shoulderboards are actually quite hard to come by and can easily be graded 'scarce'. Simply an attractive WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair that belonged a: 'Hauptmann der Nebelwerfer-Truppen'!
