Attractive, enamelled example of a: DLV (ie. 'Deutscher Luftsportsverband') related so-called: 'Segelflieger-C-Abzeichen' (being a non-maker-marked example that bears a unique serial-number that reads: '18587') and that comes with 3 lapel-pins
This is an attractive - and totally undamaged! - example of a: DLV (ie. 'Deutscher Luftsportsverband') related so-called: 'Segelflieger-C-Abzeichen' being a (typical) non-maker-marked example that retains a fully undamaged enamelled surface and that bears a unique serial-number that reads: '18587' and that came with 3 (also neatly enamelled) miniature lapel-pins as recently found and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used and/or worn-), condition. The attractive badge shows three white-coloured 'Schwingen' and is thus an example of the so-called: 'C-Klasse' (ie. being a: 'Segelflieger-C-Abzeichen' or: glider-pilots badge of the C-class). These attractive badges were worn by members of the DLV but were also worn by 'regular' LW-staff on the standard LW tunics such as the 'Fliegerbluse' and/or other tunics. The badge-set originates from a German private-household and is just a bit dirty and shows some age and/or wear. The white- and blue-coloured and neatly enamelled pieces - of which the 'Segelflieger-C-Abzeichen' has an approximate diameter of 2,8 cms. - is void of any makers'-designation and has truly nice enamel which is completely void of any damage: it is just a bit tarnished and somewhat darkened by age (something that is also valid for the other 3 miniature pins). A similar example is also figured in the 'Heering-Hüsken'-lapel-pin-catalogue wherein it is given a unique reference-number (8816I) and is given an estimated value of 120 Eu. Simply an attractive - smaller-sized ie. 4-pieced! - 'DLV'-related so-called: 'Segelflieger-C-Abzeichen'-grouping that is I deem fairly priced!
