This is an attractive - clearly used- ie. surely once cap-attached - greyish-silver-toned- and/or typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based, WH (Luftwaffe) visor- (ie. 'Schirmmützen'-) cap-eagle being a non-maker-marked example of the regular second-type pattern and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. just moderately used-), condition. These specific cap-eagles were intended for usage on the various WH (Luftwaffe) visor-caps (ie. 'Schirmmützen'-) and saw usage throughout the war. The eagle has truly great pronounced detail and retains both its (copper-based) pins ie. prongs in place (which were once bent and that are of course still fully functional). The neat piece which is minimally-converse-shaped has an approximate 'wingspan' of 6,7 cms. and has a typical, silverish-grey-toned and/or: minimally tarnished 'age-patina' (as can be seen on the pictures). It should be noted that excellent copies of this specific cap-eagle do exist: this is naturally a fine and 100% genuine example that originates from the left-overs of an old tailor-shop. Simply a nice opportunity to acquire an attractive WH (Luftwaffe) visor- (ie. 'Schirmmützen'-) cap-eagle: it will be hard to upgrade this attractive- and/or fully untouched example!
