Superb, WH (Luftwaffe) 'Flugzeug-Beobachter-Abzeichen' (ie. observers'-war-badge) being a neatly maker- (ie. 'C.E. Juncker'-) marked and/or: 'Buntmetall'- (ie. 'Tombak'-) based example (of the desirable 'J1-pattern'!)
The truly attractive - and actually rarely encountered! - early- (ie.pre-) war period- and/or very detailed WH (Luftwaffe) 'Flugzeug-Beobachter-Abzeichen' (or: observers'-war-badge) has been moderately worn and comes naturally mounted onto its fully functional (and fully unaltered!) pin- and/or functional typical catch (ie. catch set-up). The award shows a 'separately'- (and/or very detailed!) bluish-black-coloured eagle-device attached (by means of two firmly attached copper-based rivets as is visible on its back). The badge truly retains a fair bit of its period finish but does show a minimally tarnished- (ie. typical 'Buntmetall'- ie. 'Tombak'-like-) age-patina as is more often encountered on these 'high-quality-produced' Luftwaffe-war-badges. The badge shows a clear makers'-designation on its back (that reads: 'C.E. Juncker - Berlin SW' as can be seen on the pictures) and is thus in all respects an example that can be attributed to the desirable maker: 'C.E. Juncker' based in Berlin: the award shows naturally all the specific details as known for a badge by this particular maker. The piece - which is I deem of the early- ie. 'J1-pattern' - is still somewhat stained ie. dirty but has - I deem - never been cleaned nor polished: the bright silver-coloured wreath and/or bluish-coloured eagle-device both retain a very nice albeit minimally tarnished appearance and have both lost some of their period finish (as can be seen on the pictures). It should be noted that these attractive and early-period: 'Flugzeug-Beobachter-Abzeichen' of the 'J1-pattern' as produced by the 'C.E. Juncker'-company can easily be graded: 'very scarce'. I deem that I have priced this early-period example absolutely fairly: I have seen similar examples being offered for much more than my asking-price!
