Commemorative - and neatly enamelled! - 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen' (ie. 'tinnie') being a maker- (ie. 'Carl Poellath'-) marked example that is showing the text: 'Deutsche Wintersport Meisterschaften 1935 - Garmisch-Partenkirchen'
The attractive - and truly luxuriously-styled! - commemorative-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') is executed in silver-toned- and/or: 'Buntmetall'-based, enamelled metal: it shows some normal wear and/or minimal age and is somewhat tarnished by age and/or decades of storage. The badge - which is circular-shaped and having an approximate diameter of 4 cms. - shows a multi-coloured stylished eagle-device surrounded by the text: 'Deutsche Wintersport Meisterschaften 1935 - Garmisch-Partenkirchen' (as can be seen on the pictures). The neat piece comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin and has never been cleaned nor polished: it shows some minimal age- and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures) but is still very detailed and/or pronounced. The 'tinnie' retains most of its (somewhat darkened- ie. tarnished-) silverish-coloured finish and is totally void of any enamel-damage: it was issued in order to commemorate the German Wintergames held in the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 1935. The piece shows a clearly present makers'-designation (stamped onto its pin-set-up as more often) that reads: 'C.Poellath - Schrobenhausen'. Simply an attractive - and not that often seen! - sports'-related 'tinnie' ie. 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen' that is I deem accordingly priced!
