Attractive, WWI-period: 'Verdienstkreuz Kriegshilfsdienst 1916' (or: war service-cross 1916) being a typical, non-maker-marked- and zinc-based example that comes together with its non-confectioned piece of ribbon (ie. This is an attractive example of an - (I deem) surely issued- but simply never worn! - example of a WWI-period so-called: 'Verdienstkreuz Kriegshilfsdienst 1916' (or: war service-cross 1916) being a (typical) non-maker-marked- and zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based example that comes together with its (long-sized!) non-confectioned piece of ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') and that comes as issued and/or recently found. The detail on this example is nicely preserved: it has - I deem - never been cleaned nor polished and has an attractive and/or minimally tarnished age-patina (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross came together with its folded (non-shortened nor confectioned and/or 32,5 cms.(!) long-sized) ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') that still holds its (period) safety-pin and came still 'wrapped' in its (scarcely seen!) piece of blue-coloured and thicker-shaped 'wrapping-carton' as issued and/or stored for decades. The award - that was recently found as such at a German private household - truly retains nice details and is totally void of a makers'-designation (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross has a nicely preserved silver-greyish-toned, typical zinc-based age-patina and is void of any damage and has been truly nicely preserved. The piece is just a tiny bit dusty and/or stained but was never cleaned nor polished (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a neat - and fully complete! - WWI-period 'Verdienstkreuz Kriegshilfsdienst 1916' that is with certainty accordingly priced!
