Attractive - and scarcely encountered! - 'BDM'-related day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') as was issued to commemorate a BDM-related gathering entitled: 'Heimattag 23.9.1934 - Tag der Deutschen Mädel 23.9.1934'
This is an attractive - and actually quite scarcely encountered! - fairly early-period, HJ/BDM- (ie. 'Hitlerjugend'/'Bund Deutscher Mädel'-) related day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstalstungsabzeichen') that was specifically issued to commemorate a BDM-related gathering ie. rally (called the: '2. Südwest Deutsch. - Heimattag - Tag der Deutschen Mädel') held on the 23rd September 1934 being a maker- (ie. 'R.Schenker - Pforzheim'-) marked example that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The very detailed and/or pronounced badge - which is executed in typical, golden-toned metal (I deem so-called: zinc- or pot-metal) - truly shows extraordinary detail and was almost certainly never cleaned nor polished: it is just somewhat tarnished by age. The piece (which is as stated above non-maker-marked) depicts a typical 'HJ-Raute' surrounded by the text: '2. Südwest Deutsch. Heimattag - 23.9.1934 - Tag der Deutschen Mädel 23.9.1934' and comes mounted onto its (of course still functional) pin-/catch set-up (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very nice - and most certainly not that often encountered! - HJ/BDM- (ie. 'Hitlerjugend'/'Bund Deutscher Mädel'-) related 'tinnie'. I deem that I have priced this attractive - and early-period! - example according to its desirability and/or truly nicely preserved- and/or fully untouched, condition!
