Attractive - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-pattern shoulderboards as piped in the bright-yellow-toned branchcolour as was intended for an: 'Oberleutnant eines Nachrichten-Abteilungs'

The attractive - and fully matching! - WH officers'-pattern shoulderboards are typical, 'text-book'-examples of the Heeres'-type shoulderboards and have the silver-greyish- (ie. truly somewhat 'sub-dued'-type-) 'upperdecks': they were with certainty issued and/or worn as such and do show some moderate age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show the desirable bright-yellow- (ie. 'zitronengelbener'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the 'smooth-type' wool as can be noticed on the pictures). The pair never had any tongues attached and was most certainly used as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern: they were carefully tunic-removed (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards measure approximately 11,5 cms. in length each and show each a (fully matching, bright-golden-toned, larger-sized and/or 'Buntmetall'-based) pip period-attached denoting the officers'-rank of: 'Oberleutnant' (or: lieutnant first-class). Both devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (albeit minimally darkened) age-patina. Taking into account, the fact that this pair has the somewhat 'sub-dued'-type 'upperdecks' I deem that it was a pair that was intended to be used on a regular 'front-used'-tunic. Simply an attractive WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair that belonged an: 'Oberleutnant eines Nachrichten-Abteilungs'!
