This is an attractive - regrettably single but nevertheless not that easily found! - darker-blue-coloured- and/or typical woolen-based, WH (Kriegsmarine) 'cyphered', NCO-type shoulderstrap as was specifically intended for - and truly worn by! - a: 'Steuermann-Oberfeldwebel' (or: helmsman-sergeant first-class) and that comes in a moderately used- (ie. 'clearly cut-off a tunic'-), condition. The neat strap - that comes without tongue that was most certainly worn as a 'sew-in'-type strap - is - I deem - only minimally worn: it has the darker-blue coloured- and (smooth)woolen 'upperdeck' and shows the neat golden-toned so-called: 'KM-Steuermann'-career-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer') attached, signifying that the NCO who wore this strap succesfully attended the so-called 'advanced helmsman-personnel career'. The woolen constructed board - that measures approximately 13 cms. in length - has the neat golden-coloured, typical 'Kriegsmarine'-type NCO-braid attached and shows two (identical, smaller-sized and/or silver-toned) pips attached, signifying the NCO-rank of: 'Oberfeldwebel' (ie. sergeant first-class). The strap is - I deem - only moderately used and does show some normal wear and/or age: it came with a firmly-attached (golden-toned) 'anchor'-button as found. In any case is a neat - and actually scarcely encountered! - WH (Kriegsmarine) 'cyphered'-type shoulderstrap that was intended for a: 'Steuermann-Oberfeldwebel' and that is I deem accordingly priced!
