This is a neat - albeit regrettably single! - army-administration-related, neatly 'cyphered' officers-pattern shoulderboard (ie. 'Schulterstück des Heeresverwaltung') being a board that was intended for usage by a: 'Major des höheren Dienstes' (comparable with the officers-rank of: 'Major' and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem hardly used nor worn-), condition. The shoulderboard - which is 'text-book' in all facets and that measures approximately 11 cms. in length - is executed in the typical, darker-green-coloured- and/or 'smooth-type' wool having the silverish-grey- and/or black-striped (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-) upperdeck: I deem that as such it was intended for usage on a 'regular front-used' tunic. The board never had any tongue attached and was clearly intended as a board of the sew-in-pattern: it does just show some minimal age caused by decades of storage and minimal wear (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece shows a neat (golden-toned and/or typical 'Buntmetall'-based): 'HV'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer') attached (denoting the officers'-rank of: 'Major'). The device is just minimally tarnished but is still very nice and/or pronounced (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive 'Verwaltung'-related shoulderboard that is actually not that often encountered: I deem that I have priced this neat item accordingly!
