Superb - and rarely encountered! - DRK (ie. 'Deutsches Rotes Kreuz') aluminium-based, officers'-type belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss für Führer des DRK') being a maker- (ie. 'Ges.Gesch. 2'-) marked example that came mounted onto its period belt
This is a truly very attractive - and in this stunning condition most certainly very scarcely encountered! - DRK (ie. 'Deutsches Rotes Kreuz' or German Red Cross) aluminium-based, officers'-type belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss für Führer des DRK') being a clearly maker- (ie. 'Ges.Gesch. 2'-) marked example that came mounted onto its (actually rarely seen!) long-sized officers-type belt and that came in an overall very nice- (I deem hardly ie. possibly even never used- nor worn-), condition. The buckle retains extraordinary detail as to be expected and has the typical, silver-coloured- (ie. truly 'frosted'-) aluminium-like appearance (ie. colour) and has never been cleaned nor polished (it has just acquired some minimal blackened tarnish and/or normal age-patina over the years but is totally void of any damage or alike). The piece is neatly maker- (ie. 'Ges.Gesch. 2'-) marked on its back. The buckle came mounted onto its (actually rarely seen!) long-sized (ie. measuring approximately 125 cms.) officers'-type belt that shows an impressed makers-designation (that reads: 'Albert Rommeda - Bielefeld') next to this it also shows a size-designation ('125') stamped into its tongue (as can be noticed on the pictures). The belt - that shows a firmly-attached aluminium-based 'Gegenhaken' (ie. keeper) - retains both its period 'Laschen' and comes in a wonderful condition overall: It was simply never used nor worn and still has a somewhat 'glossy' finish and is just a tiny bit dusty caused by decades of storage. Simply a very attractive, German Red Cross officers'-type belt-buckle-set that is I deem priced according to its superb and/or fully untouched, condition!
