Neat - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres), early-war-period- (ie. 'M36 o. M40'-pattern, 'rounded styled') 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstraps as was intended for - and worn by! - a: 'Feldwebel des Infanterie-Regiments 396'
This is an attractive - fully matching and with certainty not that easily encountered! - pair of WH (Heeres), early-war-period- (ie. 'M36 o. M40'-pattern- and/or 'rounded styled') neatly 'cyphered'- and I deem 'standard-issued' (ie. NON-tailor-made), NCO-type shoulderstraps (ie. 'Schulterstücke für Unteroffiziere des Heeres') as piped in the desirable white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for - and clearly worn by! - a: 'Feldwebel des Infanterie-Regiments 396' (or: sergeant who served within the infantry-regiment, numbered: '396' ) and that comes in an overall nice- (and only moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The neat straps - which have the 'standard'-pattern, darker-green-coloured and/or woolen-based 'upperdecks' - show the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured- and/or woolen-based piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps which measure approximately 11,2 cms. in length each come naturally mounted onto their functional tongues and come in a nice and untouched condition, overall. The shoulderstraps show two matching pairs of (frosted-silver-toned, 'Buntmetall'-based- and larger-sized): '3'-, '9' and/or '6'- numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') and a single (smaller-sized, aluminium-based) pip each period-attached (as can be noticed on the pictures). The straps were (I deem) only moderately used- and/or worn and do show some moderate staining and/or age simply caused by moderate wear and/or decades of storage (as can be seen on the pictures). They come naturally mounted onto their functional tongues and have the neat 'standard'-type- and/or silver-coloured- (ie. somewhat sub-dued-pattern-) 'Heeres'-type NCO-braid attached, denoting the NCOs'-rank of: 'Feldwebel'. This pair originated from a larger cloth- ie. insignia-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive shoulderstrap-pair that belonged to a: 'Feldwebel des Infanterie-Regiments 396' and that is accordingly priced!
