Attractive - and unusually found! - example of a two-pieced WWI- ie. This is a decorative - and in this combination with certainty scarcely found! - example of a two-pieced (and typical non-detachable) WWI- ie. Third Reich-period (ie. civil) medal-bar (ie. 'Ordenspange' or: 'Doppelspange') respectively showing an: 'ECE Ehrenzeichen für Kriegsfürsorge 1915' and a neatly golden-toned: 'Treuedienst Ehrenzeichen 1. Klasse' (or: golden-class, loyal-service-medal for 40 yrs. of loyal civil-service) both pieces coming in an overall very nice- (albeit minimally used- ie. worn-), condition. Both awards are truly reddish-bronze- (ie. tarnished golden-) and/or bright-golden-coloured and 'fairly frosted' examples that are just minimally tarnished by age and/or minimal usage and wear (as can be seen on the pictures) but are both void of any real damage or alike. Both pieces come naturally mounted on their period ribbons and have a nicely preserved age-patina and are just a tiny bit dirty: they were (I deem) never cleaned nor polished (as can be seen on the pictures). The entire 'Spange' is not 'backed' with a piece of wool but comes mounted onto a nickle-chrome-based 'backing-plate' and shows a (regular-type- and fully functional) pin- ie. catch-set-up (as can be seen on the pictures). This unusual medal-bar was recently found at a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. The 'Spange' is most certainly a period-compiled- and/or worn piece and is NOT a post-war compilation or alike: it originated as stated above from a private-household and was kept as such for decades. Simply a very attractive - and decorative! - 2-pieced, WWI- ie.Third Reich-related medal-bar- ie. 'Doppelspange' that is in my opinion accordingly priced!
