Attractive - albeit regrettably single! - early- (ie. pre-) war-period WH (Heeres) 'M36'- (ie. 'M40'-) pattern (rounded-style) 'cyphered', NCO-type shoulderstrap as was intended for a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Art.-Beobachtungs-Abteilungs 11'
This is an attractive - and as such actually scarcely encountered albeit regrettably single! - early- (ie. pre-war-) period WH (Heeres), 'M36'- (ie. 'M40'-) type (rounded-style) and neatly 'cyphered', NCO-type shoulderstrap as piped in the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroterer'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and with certainty worn by! - a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Art.-Beobachtungs-Abteilungs 11' (or: NCO and sergeant who served within a specific, artillery-observers' unit, numbered: '11') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used and/or worn-), condition. The neat shoulderstrap has a darker-green-coloured and (smooth) woolen-based 'upperdeck' as to be expected and shows the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroterer'-) coloured and/or desirable 'silk-like'-type piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap comes mounted onto its functional tongue attached and measures approximately 11 cms. in length. Next to the ('standard'-pattern, silver-toned NCO braid does the strap show a (larger-sized, 'Buntmetall'-based and/or Gothic-styled) so-called: 'B'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer') and two (larger-sized- and also 'Buntmetall'-based) '1'-numeral and single (smaller-sized) pip, period-attached. The neat strap hardly shows age or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible-/present). It should be noted that all 'cyphered'-type shoulderstraps can be easily regarded 'scarce'. Simply an attractive and/or early- (ie. pre-) war period, neatly 'cyphered Heeres'-related shoulderstrap as was intended for a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Art.-Beobachtungs-Abteilungs 11': too bad that it is only a single strap!
