This is a very attractive - and with certainty truly rarely encountered! - I deem neatly machine-embroidered and/or woolen-based so-called: 'Kosaken'- (ie. cossaks-) related cap-cocarde (ie. 'Mützenkokarde') as executed in multi-coloured linnen as was (I deem) specifically intended for a volunteer serving within the: 'Deutsche Wehrmacht' and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used- and/or most certainly once cap-attached-), condition. The cocarde is truly nicely constructed from darker-green toned wool and shows a vertically-placed (red-coloured) bar and two (crossed) spears (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece is neatly backed with a piece of buckram-based material and shows some minimal age, wear and/or staining and was most certainly once cap-attached (it still shows some of its stitching-threads ie. remains). It should be noted that these specific 'Ostvölker'- ie. 'Kosaken'-related cap-cocardes are considered 'very rare' and do not appear often on todays'-market. Moreover, should it be mentioned that this is the first such machine-embroidered example: I have seen similar cocardes being executed in 'BeVo'-weave-pattern. This example originated from a group of 'Ostvölker'- ie. 'Kosakken'-related insignia I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a great occasion to acquire an attractive cap-cocarde (ie. 'Mützenkokarde') as was (I deem) intended for a 'Kosaken'-soldier who served within the 'Deutsche Wehrmacht': I deem that this attractive piece of cap-insignia is priced according to its unmistaken rarity and/or desirability!
