These attractive Romanian medals - which were issued in order to commemorate the crusade against communism (or: 'Kreuzzug gegen den Kommunismus') were instituted on 1st April 1942 and are often found among German medal-groups since it was liberally bestowed on Romania's allies. The award on offer here is a truly very detailed (and simply never used- albeit period-mounted!) example that has a neat (albeit minimally tarnished) age-patina: it came together with its original (specifically folded- ie. neatly pre-confectioned) ribbon as issued and came stored in its (typical) beige-coloured- and/or: 'Zellstoff'-based pouch. The scarcely seen pouch - which shows some obvious wear, age and/or staining - is complete and shows the imprinted text: 'Miniterul Apararu Nationale - S.S.I.A. - Medalia - Crusiada Impotriva Communismului' on its front (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a neat - and fully complete! - medal-set from one of Germany's allies that originates from a German private-household and that was with certainty awarded to a German soldier or NCO: hard to find a nicer preserved example for a more interesting price!
