Superb - albeit single! - example of an early-period (ie. 'M36- o. M40'-pattern and pointed-styled), WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', EM-type shoulderstrap as was intended for a: 'Soldat des Inf.-Maschinengewehr-Abts. 14'

This is a very attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless truly scarcely found! - example of an early-period (ie. 'M36- o. M40'-pattern and/or typically 'pointed'-styled) WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered' (and/or per regulation non-piped ie. generic-styled!) enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap as was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Infanterie-Maschinengewehr-Abteilungs 14' (or: simple infantry-soldier who served within a specific, machine-gunners unit numbered: '14') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat strap - which is executed in the darker-green-coloured wool - is natrully void of any piping (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap measures approximately 11,5 cms. in length and comes with its (functional) tongue attached. The strap shows the neat machine-embroidered (by means of 'Kurbelstickerei'!) larger 'M'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer') and/or '1'- and '4'-numerals which are executed in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured linnen as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - that also has a company-button with the '3'-numeral attached - shows as stated above only moderate usage and wear (just some minimal age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present). It should be noted that ALL 'cyphered', enlisted-mens'-pattern, 'Infanterie'-type shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'scarce'. In any case a very attractive and/or: early-war-period, 'Heeres-Infanterie'-related, EM-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Infanterie-Maschinengewehr-Abteilungs 14': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
