Attractive - and I deem early- (ie. pre-war-)period - 'SA Sportabz. in Bronze' being a nicely (and unusually!) maker- (ie. 'Bonner Kunstabz. Bedarf - Bonn/Rh.'-) marked example that bears a unique, stamped bearers-numeral that reads: '146249'
The attractive - and I deem fairly early- (ie. pre-) war-period - bronze-class SA-sports-badge (or: 'SA Sportabzeichen in Bronze') is as stated nicely maker-marked on its back with the (actually very unusually seen!) makers'-designation that reads: 'Bonner Kunstabz. Bedarf' as was based in the town of Bonn am Rhein and that also bears the usually encountered inscription: 'Eigentum d. Chefs d. Ausbildungswesens' (as is visible on the back of the sword as is more often seen). The neat badge - which comes naturally mounted on its functional (and unaltered- and functional) pin- (ie. catch-) set-up - shows a stamped bearers-numeral (that reads: '146249' and only shows some moderate wear and age but was I deem never recently cleaned nor polished: the original - and fairly bright albeit minimally darkened! – truly golden-bronze-toned-finish is mostly present and/or is neatly preserved (as can be seen on the pictures). The badge is just a tiny bit stained ie. dirty caused by moderate wear and/or storage for decades. Simply an attractive, fairly early-period- and/or: neatly 'serial-numbered' example that is most certainly accordingly priced!
