Very unusual - and typical stainless-steel-based! - smaller-sized, TR-period- and youth-related coffee-spoon (ie. 'Kaffee-Löfffel') showing the nicely engraved text that simply reads: 'HJ-Landdienst'
This is a neat and very unusual - typical stainless-steel-based and smaller-sized, TR-period- and youth-related coffee-spoon (ie. 'Kaffee-Löfffel') showing the nicely engraved text that simply reads: 'HJ-Landdienst' and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. clearly issued- and/or used-), condition. These utensils saw usage within the HJ (ie. 'Hitlerjugend') and were most likely related to the so-called: 'HJ-Landjahr'-movement, which was introduced in 1934 to 'deepen the ties connecting the young people of urban areas with the land and peasentry'. The neat piece on offer here - which is as stated above constructed from shiny metal (ie. stainless steel) and that measures approximately 14 cms. - is neatly maker-marked with a makers'-designation on its back and is naturally fully functional. It came as recently found at a German flea-market and was without doubt re-used after the war as a useful piece of camping-gear or alike. Simply a nice occasion to acquire an unusually seen piece of youth-related personal equipment: ideal to be stored in a HJ-related bread-bag (ie. 'Brotbeutel')!
