This attractive - and truly scarcely seen! - 'Heeres-Traditionsabzeichen' (or: 'Ehrennadel' as also known) is executed in silver-toned, metal (ie. 'Buntmetall') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit most certainly worn and/or used-), condition. The piece was with certainty worn as such and originates from a private-household in Germany. The smaller-sized and unmarked badge - having an approximate diameter of 2,8 cms. - depicts an armed ghost mounted onto an armoured vehicle (ie. 'half-track') and depicts the text: 'Gespensterbrigade Angern - S.R. 110' and has never been cleaned nor polished but nevertheless shows great detail: it has a somewhat dirty ie. 'tarnished' age-patina: it comes mounted onto its fully functional pin- ie. pin/catch set-up. As possiblly known, were these (semi-official) badges also properly entered in the 'Wehrpass' and/or 'Soldbuch': they also were handed-out with a semi-official award-document (ie. 'Einlage zum Soldbuch'). This decorative 'Heeres-Traditionsabzeichen' is also mentioned in the Heering-Hüsken-'Abzeichenkatalog' wherein it is given the unique reference-number '9834' and given an estimated value of 350 Eu(!). These neat Heeres-related 'Traditionsabzeichen' can easily be graded 'rare': I deem that I have priced this attractive 'Ehrennadel' accordingly!
