Attractive - and hardly used! - 'Eisernes Kreuz 2. Kl.' (ie. Iron Cross 2nd Class) being a clearly maker- (ie. '123'-) marked example as was produced by the: 'Beck, Hassinger & Co.'-company
This is an attractive - untouched and I deem moderately used ie. once-mounted! - example of an: 'Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse' (ie. Iron Cross 2nd Class) being a clearly maker- (ie. '123'-) marked as was produced by the: 'Beck, Hassinger & Co.'-company as was based in the town of Strasbourg and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem issued- and just minimally worn- ie. used- ie. once-mounted-), condition. The piece on offer here has most certainly never been cleaned and shows a very attractive (blackened- and truly 'satin-like'- ie. matted-) patina and shows a fully undamaged, black-coloured 'inner-core'-section. The piece - which shows a clear makers'-designation '123' stamped into its ring and that can as such be attributed to the 'Beck, Hassinger & Co.'-company (ie. 'Hersteller 123') - is just a bit tarnished by age and has lost its polished sides (or: 'hochpolierte Kanten') and does just show some minimal wear and/or ager. It came together with its confectioned- and shortened (ie. approx. 19 cms. long-sized-) ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschitt') as issued, worn and/or stored for decades. As stated above has the cross great and very fine detail: it has just a bit 'tarnished' over the years. Simply a neat - and fully untouched! - IC 2nd.class by the 'Beck, Hassinger & Co.'-company that is - I deem - accordingly priced!
