Attractive, 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber', being an unmarked (and minimally converse- ie. vaulted-) 'hollow-back' example as was executed in silver-coloured, zinc-based metal (ie. 'Feinzink') as produced by the maker: 'Schauerte & Höhfeld' Attractive, 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber', being an unmarked (and minimally converse- ie. vaulted-) 'hollow-back' example as was executed in silver-coloured, zinc-based metal (ie. This is an attractive - and I deem only minimally used and/or worn! - non-maker-marked war-badge ie. 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (or IAB): it has a 'typical' catch- and/or hinge (-set-up) as is more often encountered with IABs by this particular maker. I deem that this example can with certainty be determined as a 'mid-war-period-variant' that can be attributed to the maker (ie. 'Hersteller') named: 'Schauerte & Höhfeld' as was based in the town of Lüdenscheid. The badge was with certainly issued and comes in an only moderately used- and/or worn, condition (as can be seen on the pictures). It was (I deem) never cleaned nor polished and truly retains most of its silverish-grey-coloured finish as can be seen on the pictures. The pin and/or (typical) catch (ie. set-up-) are of course fully functional and/or present (they are both in pristine condition). The piece - which originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently found - shows as stated above only minimal wear, age and/or staining. Simply an attractive - and with certainty not that often found! - 'hollow-back'-IAB-variant by the desirable maker: 'Schauerte & Höhfeld' that is with certainty accordingly priced!
