This is an attractive - and I deem only moderately used ie. worn - example of an: 'Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen' (or: General Assault Badge ie. GAB) being a non-maker-marked, zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based so-called: 'minimally converse-shaped-variant' as was (presumably) produced by the (desirable!) maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'Berg & Nolte' (ie. 'B&N') as was based in the town of Lüdenscheid and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit just moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The badge is typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based example that truly retains all of its greyish-silver-coloured finish: it has a typical zinc-like age-patina (as can be seen on the pictures). This particular example comes naturally mounted onto its functional (thin-shaped- and/or silver-coloured-) pin (which is mounted on a typical 'mounting' and/or 'welded-on', wire-type catch). The piece is still very detailed and has a very pronounced appearance: the award has as stated above only moderately been used and shows some minimal wear on the obvious higher areas but was most certainly never cleaned nor polished. It originated from a private-household in Germany and was never before in collectors'-hands. I deem that this particular example can be attributed to the desirable maker: 'Berg & Nolte' (ie. 'B&N') as was based in the town of Lüdenscheid. In any case an attractive and honest GAB-variant that is with certainty accordingly priced!
