This is an attractive - albeit moderately worn but nevertheless very detailed! - example of an: 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class infantry assault-badge ie. IAB) being a clearly maker- (ie. 'S.H.u.C.o. 41'-) marked example as executed in silverish-coloured- and/or typical zinc-based metal (ie. 'Feinzink') and that comes in an overall nice- (and fully untouched!), condition. This example is a clearly maker-marked award that shows the superimposed makers'-designation: 'S.H.u.C.o. 41' on its back (ie. being the abbreviation for the: 'Sohni, Heubach & Co.'-company as was based in the town of Oberstein). The award has a 'typical' catch and/or hinge set-up (which are both not altered nor damaged and which are both fully functional). The badge seems to be totally uncleaned and still retains a nice, somewhat 'shiny' silver-coloured age-patina: most of its original silverish-finish is present and/or nicely preserved (as can be seen on the pictures). The (silver-coloured) pin and/or catch (ie. set-up-) are as stated above of course fully functional and present. The piece - which originates from a private-household in Germany - shows some moderate wear and/or staining but was in my opinion never cleaned. Simply an attractive, 'Feinzink'-based silver-class 'S.H.u.C.o.'-IAB that is with certainty accordingly priced!
