Superb, 3-pieced 'WWI- o. Polizei'-related medal-bar- (ie. 'Ordenspange'-) resp. depicting a WWI-period: 'EK II.Kl.', a: 'FKK 1914-18' and a: 'Polizei-DA 1. St.' and that comes in a fully untouched condition
This is an attractive - and in this uncommonly found combination not that often seen! - three-pieced, 'WWI- o. Polizei'-related medal-bar (ie. 'Ordenspange') respectively depicting a WWI-period: 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' (or: iron cross second class), a: 'Frontkämpferkreuz 1914-18' (ie.: 'Kriegsteilnehmerkreuz mit Schwertern') and a neatly golden-toned: 'Polizei-Dienstauszeichnung 1. Stufe' (or police loyal-service medal first-class as was awarded for 25 years of loyal service within the various police-services) that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The detail on the 'EKII. Klasse' is truly stunning and nicely preserved: it has - I deem - never been cleaned nor polished and has an attractive and/or minimally tarnished age-patina (as can be seen on the pictures). It retains nice details and has a nicely preserved, black-finished (ie. somewhat 'satin-like'- ie. 'shiny-style') core and is void of any damage nor paint-loss. The FKK 1914-18 shows a clear makers'-designation on its back (that reads: 'RV 32 Pforzheim' as can be noticed on the pictures). The detail on this award is also nicely preserved but it does show some tarnished age-patina and some minimal staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The police service-medal truly retains gorgeous details and still shows truly all its 'off-factory' polished-sides (ie. 'hochpolierte Kanten'): the attached (yellowish-golden-toned) eagle-device (which comes in the format of an additionally mounted bar ie. 'Spange' as can be noticed on the pictures). The award itself is just a tiny bit tarnished but truly retains a great, bright golden-toned age-patina overall (it has most certainly never been cleaned nor polished). All three awards - which show their nicely preserved, period ribbons - come both 'period-mounted' onto a metal-based 'clasp' that is neatly backed with a piece of bright-green-coloured wool (and that shows a functional pin- ie. catch-set-up) as was intended for wearing this example on a 'going-out'- ie. dress-tunic or 'Waffenrock'. This particular piece was recently uncovered at a German private-household and only shows minimal age and/or wear (as can be noticed on the pictures). Simply an attractive example of a three-pieced WWI-period- (ie.'Polizei'-) related 'Ordenspange' that comes in an uncommonly-found combination that is (I deem) accordingly priced!
