This a neat - and most certaibly not that often encountered! - WH (Heeres) equipment-item: a 'high-quality'-produced, WH (Heeres) measuring-device (ie. 'tape-ruler') being a complete and fully functional example that comes in its (brownish-coloured-, genuine leather-based and natural-coloured) 'casing' and that is neatly marked: 'Heereseigentum' and that is clearly dated: '1940' and that comes in an overall wonderful- (and/or simply never used-), condition. The piece holds a 20-meter-sized measuring-tape (that is fully undamaged and that retains its period 'end-piece' that is (as more often!) fragile but present as can be seen on the pictures). The piece shows a neatly impressed 'Heereseigentum'-stamp and/or date ('1940') as can be seen on the pictures. These neat WH (Heeres) equipment-items saw wide-spread usage throughout the war and were a most appreciated item. Of specific interest is naturally also the fact that this example comes in such a very nicely preserved condition and came still packed in its 2-pieced, carton-box as issued (something that is most certainly not often the case!).
