Superb - rarely found and stainless-steel-based! - WH (LW) ie. 'Fallschirmjäger'-related ID-disc, bearing the 'coded'-unit- ie. 'MOB'-designation: '210423' (and as such belonging to a soldier who served within the: '3./Sturm-Rgt.')
This is an attractive - and actually rarely encountered! - example of a silver-coloured- and/or typical stainless-steel-based, WH (Luftwaffe-) ie. 'Fallschirmjäger'-related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') that came as issued and/or as worn and that is bearing the clearly stamped- (and/or: 'coded') unit-designation (aka: 'MOB-liste-Nummerierung') that simply reads: '210423' and as such belonging to a paratrooper-soldier- (ie. NCO ie. officer-) who served within the third company of the: 'Sturm-Regiment'. The disc comes in an overall very nice (albeit clearly used ie. worn-), condition (and is executed in an attractive letter-type!) and shows the clear evidence of having been used ie. worn (as can be seen on the pictures). The disc is void of an impressed bearers'-blood-group-type something that is more often seen on these 'coded' ID-discs and also shows a clearly stamped (low!) bearers-numeral that reads: '17'. The disc originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently uncovered. Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that this example bears some (period albeit hard to decypher) engraved text ie. name and/or number on its back (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very attractive and honest 'coded' WH (Luftwaffe-) ie. 'Fallschirmjäger'-related ID-disc that belonged to a member of the FJ-unit: '3./Sturm-Rgt.' and that is priced according to its comparative rarity and/or desirability!
