Attractive - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards as piped in the black-coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by a: 'Leutnant der Pionier-Truppen'

The attractive - and I deem just moderately used and/or worn! - pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards is piped in the typical black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour: as such, the pair was intended for usage by a: 'Leutnant der Pionier-Truppen' (ie. lieutnant who served within an army-engineers-regiment or unit). The attractive pair was most certainly issued and worn as such but comes, nevertheless, in an overall very nicely preserved and/or fully untouched, condition. The shoulderboards - which are constructed from the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured, 'smooth-type' (ie. moleskin-like-) wool - come in an excellent condition overall and will be hard to be upgraded (the pair is fully matching as can be seen on the pictures). The somewhat 'sub-dued' appearance of the 'upperdecks' is fully present and/or preserved (something that is to be expected for a 'Heeres'-related shoulderboard-pair). The boards are just a tiny bit 'tarnished' by normal age and/or storage for decades and do show some age, wear and staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The neat boards - which measure approximately 10,7 cms. in length each - never had any pips (nor numerals or cyphers!) attached denoting the officers'-rank ie. function of: 'Leutnant'. The straps come mounted onto their (unusually period-shortened!) tongues attached and were I deem used as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair was never before in collectors'-hands and belonged to an officer who wore these and after that stored them for decades. Simply a very attractive - and truly worn! - shoulderboard-pair that was intended for a: 'Offizier u. Leutnant der Pionier-Truppen' and that will be hard to be upgraded!
