Attractive - albeit regrettably incomplete but nevertheless scarcely encountered! - 'Waffen-SS' visor-cap skull (ie. 'Totenkopf für Schirmmütze') being a detailed- and/or non-maker-marked example as was executed in 'Feinzink'-based metal
This is a neat - albeit regrettably incomplete but nevertheless still scarcely encountered! - 'Waffen-SS' visor-cap skull (ie. 'Totenkopf für Schirmmütze') being a detailed- and/or (typically) non-maker-marked example of the so-called: '3-prong'-pattern as was executed in greyish-silver-coloured zinc-based metal (ie. 'Feinzink') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit regrettably incomplete and/or clearly used- and/or worn-), condition. This example is a typical non-maker-marked exampe as was presumably produced by the: 'Assmann & Söhne'-company and is naturally a piece of unquestionable originality. The still detailed - and quite pronounced! - cap-skull was most certainly once worn and/or cap-attached: it is moderately used and still shows excellent detail: it just shows some minimal age- and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece regrettably misses all its three pins (which were broken-off as more often) and was presumably ground-dug. Nevertheless, still an attractive - and with certainty nowadays rarely encountered! - piece of genuine SS cap-insignia that is priced according to its damaged- ie. relic-condition: a pristine example would cost of course much more than my asking-price!
