This a truly superb - actually rarely encountered and I deem simply never worn! - example of a WH (Heeres) 'standard-pattern', field-grey-toned- and/or aluminium-based belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss für Unteroffiziere u. Mannschaften des Heeres') being a clearly maker- (ie. 'R. Sieper & Söhne'-) marked- and/or: '1938'-dated example that comes mounted onto its leather-based tab and that came still packed in its piece of thin-shaped 'wrapping-paper' as recently found and/or stored for decades. The buckle retains most (ie. truly almost all!) of its (typical) field-grey- (ie. olive-green-) coloured sprayed surface (just some tiny paint-loss-markings are noticable as can be seen on the pictures). The piece shows an oval-shaped stamp on the leather-based tab (as can be seen on the pictures). The stamp shows the producing-company (ie. 'R. Sieper & Söhne - Lüdenscheid') and the year of production '1938' (as can be seen on the pictures). The buckle - which also shows the makers'-designation 'R.S.& S. - came mounted onto its souple - and of course still functional - brownish-coloured and genuine leather-based 'tab' (as can be seen on the pictures). I deem that I have priced this truly 'minty' WH (Heeres) belt-buckle, accordingly!
