This is a very attractive - and actually extremely rarely encountered and by me for the first time offered! - early- (ie. most certainly pre-war- ie. presumably experimental!) pattern, WH (Heeres) specific cocarde as executed in greyish-coloured linnen in the so-called: 'BeVo'-weave as was (I deem) specifically intended for usage onto the field-grey-coloured(!): 'Pz'-beret (ie. 'Panzerschutzmütze') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. The piece was simply never used (ie. nor beret-attached-) as can be seen on the pictures. The piece - also known in German language as: 'Kokarde für Panzerschutzmütze' - is executed in the so-called: 'BeVo'-weave as to be expected and comes 'as straightly cut-off the role' and just shows some minimal age ie. staining simply caused by decades of storage and/or handling but can naturally easily serve to restore any field-grey-toned 'Panzerschutzmütze'. This example originates from a 'Musterbuch' (or: sample-book) that was period-compiled by the producing-company 'Offermann' as was based in the town of Ratingen. Simply a truly exceedingly rarely found piece of German cloth-insignia that is I deem accordingly priced!
