This is an attractive - fully matching and (I deem) quite early-war- ie. most certainly pre-war-period! - pair of I deem tailor-made (ie. 'privately-purchased'-pattern) WH (Heeres) early- ie. pre-war period- (ie. 'M36'- ie. 'M40'-pattern and/or: rounded-styled), neatly 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstraps (ie. 'Schulterstücke für Unteroffiziere des Heeres') as was piped in the desirable white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier des Infanterie-Regiments 42' (or: junior-sergeant who served within the 42nd infantry regiment) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem just moderatey used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat straps - which have the 'standard'-pattern, darker-green-coloured and/or typical 'smooth woolen'-based 'upperdecks' and that measure approximately 12 cms. in length each - show the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured and/or (typical) woolen-type piping and (typical) silver-toned (ie. early-pattern) NCO-braid attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps never had any tongues attached and were most certainly intended as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern and come both in a very nice- (ie. fully 'text-book') condition overall (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps show the neat (hand-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Handstickerei'): '4'- and/or '2'-cyphers (ie. numerals or 'Ziffern') attached which are executed in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured linnen as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair only shows minimal wear and/or age and is just very nicely preserved over the years (as can be seen on the pictures). I deem this an excellent occasion to acquire a neat NCO-type, 'Infanterie'-related Heeres-shoulderstrap-pair for a justified price!
